WGRC SOCCER

WGRC Soccer provides a fun and competitive way to learn soccer through play with classmates and local communities. WGRC Soccer is led by current and former high school coaches, former college players, current and former high school players, advanced youth players, parents, and adult students of the game. We seek to instill a lifelong love and understanding of soccer through active participation. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to fail, succeed, learn and grow, and that nobody learns from the bench. We seek to build confidence and sportsmanship through training and games.

West G Little Kickers

A partnership between West G Soccer Club and WGRC, West G Little kickers is all about learning the FUNdamentals of dribbling, passing, and ball control. Everybody plays, and no try-outs are required.

All age groups play at WGRC Camp Soccer Field (Adjacent to the WGMS Parking Lot)

Registration for West G Little Kickers is now LIVE, and will be open until March 22,2024.

U4 (Ages 3-4)

• 6, 30 minute sessions
• Participation medal and tshirt
• 6-8 player max with coach
• Age appropriate skills and games

U6 (Ages 5-6)

  • 12, 45 minute sessions (2/wk)

  • Participation medal and tshirt

  • 8-10 player max with coach

  • In-practice scrimmages

6:00 PM- 6:45 PM & 9:00 - 9:45 AM

U8 (Ages 7-8)

  • 1 hour sessions (2-3 times/week)

  • Age appropriate skills

  • Participation medal and game jersey

  • Competitive games in Geauga Co.

  • Teams of 10-12 players

U10, U12, & U15 (AGES 9-14)

The primary goals of the U10, U12 & U15 program is for children to have fun and learn the rules and key skills of soccer. The season consists of practice sessions and games. Practice sessions will teach the fundamental skills of dribbling, passing, ball control, positioning, defense and shooting.

Teams will be either all-boy or all-girl based on registrations. Teams will generally have one practice and one or two games per week and compete against against Lake, Geauga and Eastern Cuyahoga communities.

WGRC Soccer has changed to an academy style training format, as we continue to improve our program and adjust to changes within the game. This will give all of our players and coaches a streamlined and improved training experience.

U10 & U12 – Size 4 soccer ball, shin guards, soccer cleats and water bottle

U15 – Size 5 soccer ball, shin guards, soccer cleats and water bottle
